Mixing Pot is a community project to bring people together through food. We want to tell the story of the people of Oxford through the food that they love.

We’re creating a Mixing Pot installation with a local artist to collect recipes and food stories from different communities all around Oxford, discovering Oxford’s diverse and multi-cultural population through the food that’s important to them.

The Mixing Pot will travel around Oxford’s Community Centres in the week leading up to the festival before its final stop at the Food & Drink Festival itself, where we will be collecting recipes from festival-goers all day.

So come along to your nearest Community Centre and bring your favourite recipes and stories to share with your local community!

We’ll have paper and pens for you to submit your recipes and stories on, or you’re welcome to bring them already printed, written out, photocopied, cooked and edible… or in whatever format you want!

Drinks and nibbles will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring something along too.
